The Protectress Motanka serves as a talisman to protect and heal Ukrainians. Inspired by the ancient Ukrainian rag doll, it was passed down from mother to daughter for good health and fortune. It is a place to gather strength from our ancestors. It serves as a reminder that Motanka dolls were in simple form, made from what was available in every house, in order to protect children. The Protectress reflects the determined spirit of the Ukrainian people and the unyielding fight for freedom.

ARTHAUS
ARTHAUS is a collaborative exhibition project located in a 14th-century 5-story house in Basel, Switzerland taking place during Art Basel week. The spaces are curated by different galleries and institutions, transforming the house into a dynamic showcase of contemporary art, and offering viewers a multi-story, immersive art experience.
Taking place between June 10 – 17, ARTHAUS opens its doors from 5-10 pm as a dynamic social hub, inviting art lovers to gather and immerse themselves in a living showcase of global contemporary art on the cutting edge.
Organized by Ethan Cohen, this exhibition is a collaboration between VOLTA Art Fairs, Kornfeld Galerie, Space 776, and Ethan Cohen Gallery.
